Njammats is the former name of the free standing mountain 'Nammásj' which actually means nameless.

Mountains should probably have no names, they're just there. Thats why they're so unique! Njammats is in the heart of the riverdelta 'Rapadalen' in Swedish Lapland.

This place is the gate to one of Europe's last and most remote wilderness areas, Sarek National Park! An area of 1970km², which was explored and mapped beginning 1900 by the Swedish geographer Axel Hamberg. Together with the national parks Stora Sjöfallet, Padjelanta, Muddes and nature reserves Sjaunja and Stubbe they form the world heritage area UNESCO Laponia.

From Njammats you have a stunning view over the riverdelta 'Rapadalen'. Besides that spectuculair views of mountain ranges like Pårthe, Sarek, Äphar and the Tjahkelij. This remote untouched area, the variety in the landscape and the harsh arctic climate conquer many wilderness hearts.
